Calavera Revised

In the Design Prod Plan 2: Digital course, I created a Calavera-inspired self-portrait from the traditional sugar skulls associated with Día de Muertos. The goal was to explore identity through symbolism while combining a cultural visual language with my own personal interpretation. Using myself as the main focus made this project a bit more self-reflective. The Calavera elements represent resilience, transformation, and the balance between light and shadow within one's personality.
I used decorative patterns to reflect on both the traditional influences and my own personal style. The contrast between the skeletal structure and details creates visual tension, while the composition keeps my face as the focus point.
